This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with an integrated bronze impeller. Its hydraulic construction utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve to maintain the dry shaft design, which isolates the shaft from circulating fluids. The assembly employs a mechanical seal comprised of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components for operating pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump provides positive air venting through its centerline discharge and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The system utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and runs on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
