This close-coupled end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which eliminates the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, while the assembly accommodates 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections, and flush seal line taps allow for the installation of an optional filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles.
The pump utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.49. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
