This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges, a 4" suction, and a 3" discharge. The unit utilizes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. It is configured with a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, which is rated for operating temperatures up to 250 °F. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections, and the pump includes flush seal line taps.
The pump is driven by a 100 HP, 3450 RPM TEFC motor by Baldor in a NEMA 405TS frame. The system operates on 460/60/3 power and uses an across the line starting configuration. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump is mounted on a welded base that features an integral drip pan and a Woods coupler with a standard guard. This unit is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature and carries a PEI of 0.94.
