This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting. The assembly integrates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Internal components incorporate a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F operation. This construction maintains a maximum working pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The motor is a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC unit operating at 3450 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.48. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
