This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge design for positive air venting. The bronze impeller incorporates a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents fluid contact with the shaft. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber manages sealing at the shaft. The assembly integrates pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to monitor hydraulic performance.
The motor operates at 15 HP, provides premium efficiency, and utilizes a TEFC enclosure at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
