This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and center-line discharge. It utilizes a stainless steel NSF61 impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. A dry shaft mechanical seal design incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This pump configuration accommodates service without disturbing system piping connections.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.49. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
