This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 5" suction port and a 4" discharge port with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit includes a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It is configured with a bronze wear ring and uses a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The pump incorporates a rear pullout design for maintenance, a dry shaft design, and flush seal line taps. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections, and the discharge is positioned at the top center line to support self-venting.
The pump uses a 2 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure and a JM frame style with feet. It operates at 1150 RPM and supports a 230-460/60/3 power supply. The motor meets NEMA standards and premium efficiency requirements under MG1-12.55. It features AEGIS shaft grounding and is configured for counter-clockwise rotation. The system is designed for a 40 °C ambient temperature and utilizes across the line starting. The close-coupled design eliminates the need for separate coupling alignment.
