This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber components and is rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are located on both the suction and discharge connections, while flush seal line taps allow for the installation of filtration equipment to protect the seal in open systems.
Powered by a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, the pump operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis Grounding, accepting a 208V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused main disconnect and an electro-mechanical bypass, holding an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
