This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge for positive air venting. The assembly integrates a bronze impeller that is dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Utilizing a dry shaft design, the pump prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the internal shaft assembly. Sealing is accomplished via an EPT and ceramic mechanical seal, and the pump is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The system utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and functions on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
