This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. The unit utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F and is engineered for operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. Maintenance of the seal and internal components is possible without disturbing existing system piping.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V 3PH electrical supply, maintaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
