This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet to provide structural stability. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller that is hydraulically balanced and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and employs a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. The pump configuration maintains a 125 PSI pressure rating.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
