This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design, which prevents fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft at pressures up to 125 PSI when operating without a wear ring. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft surface, while a mechanical seal utilizing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components maintains fluid integrity. The unit is engineered with an integrally cast center-line discharge to support positive air venting during operation.
This assembly is powered by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
