This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, incorporating a bronze shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal assembly comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This assembly maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
The pump assembly operates with a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding, a 380-460V 3PH power supply, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
