This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller, integrated with a stainless steel shaft to maintain structural integrity. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid sealing, the assembly incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. The internal hydraulic design is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The unit is powered by a 2 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco’s advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
