This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. A stainless steel shaft, protected by a bronze shaft sleeve, supports the rotating components. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The casing includes a wear ring and is rated for 125 PSI. Center-line discharge ports allow for positive air venting, and the system is engineered to permit maintenance without disturbing existing piping.
Powered by a 30 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, this assembly integrates Aegis shaft grounding and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
