This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber seals the assembly. This unit supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, while flush seal line taps provide the option for filter installation to protect the seal.
A 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
