This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid, which protects the internal components. A bronze shaft sleeve is incorporated to facilitate seal maintenance. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. Pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections are integrated into the casing.
The 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and is powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
