This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing and cover with 2" suction and 1-1/4" discharge ports, utilizing ANSI Class 125 flanges. It includes a 7-1/4" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a tungsten carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for clean water temperatures up to 300°F. The assembly includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, with a rear pullout design that allows for maintenance without disturbing the system piping.
The pump is configured with a 7-1/2 HP Baldor motor in a 213 JM frame style with feet. It operates at 3450 RPM and is rated for a 230-460V/60/3PH power supply with an across-the-line starting option. The motor features a TEFC enclosure with a drip cover and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, including AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit is rated for 40°C ambient operation with CCW rotation and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.83.
