This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 4" suction and a 3" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit includes a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller housed within a cast iron casing. It uses a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. The pump is configured with an EPT rubber mechanical seal, which includes a ceramic seat and a carbon rotor, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and uses a 5 HP TEFC WEG motor in a 184 T-frame. It is rated for 230-460/60/3 PH power with across-the-line starting and meets premium efficiency requirements per MG1-12.55. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and includes a Woods coupler, an OSHA-compliant coupler guard, and AEGIS shaft grounding. This unit functions in a 40 °C ambient environment and has a PEI of 0.91.
