This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges, a 3" suction, and a 2-1/2" discharge. The unit uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump includes flush seal line taps, pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections, and a rear pullout design for servicing.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 20 HP Baldor motor in a 256 JM frame with feet. The motor is a TEFC, premium efficiency unit that meets MG1-12.55 standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The electrical configuration is 230/460V, 3PH, 60Hz with across the line starting. The system provides a PEI of 0.94. The top center line discharge design simplifies piping and assists in self-venting.
