This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction, which shields the stainless steel shaft from contact with circulating fluid through the use of a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components for operation at 125 PSI without a wear ring. This configuration facilitates consistent hydraulic performance while protecting internal components from fluid exposure during operation.
Power is provided by a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
