This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the stainless steel shaft from circulating fluids, further protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly integrates a mechanical seal constructed with ceramic and EPT materials for fluid containment. Rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI, the casing utilizes a wear ring to maintain hydraulic performance. Gauge ports are provided at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the bottom of the casing to facilitate maintenance.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency ODP motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 208V three-phase electricity, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
