This end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid, comprising a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal assembly composed of ceramic and EPT materials. The pump assembly supports operational pressures up to 125 PSI when configured without a wear ring.
The pump assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
