This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integral centerline discharge for positive air venting. The unit integrates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. A stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve facilitates a dry shaft design, preventing fluid contact with the rotating assembly. Mechanical sealing comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating. The bearing housing incorporates permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings and allows for maintenance without disrupting system piping.
Powering this system is a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding, and utilizing a 200-230V / 3PH electrical supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
