This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. Gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections permit system monitoring, while the volute construction facilitates center-line discharge for positive air venting.
The 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, drawing power from a 380-460V / 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
