This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the pump utilizes a mechanical seal containing ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet allow for secure installation, while suction and discharge connections are tapped for gauge ports to monitor pressure.
The motor provides 100 HP, operates at premium efficiency, is enclosed in a TEFC housing, runs at 3450 RPM, utilizes Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
