This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid, mitigating the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. A bronze shaft sleeve is utilized to facilitate seal maintenance, while the mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. The internal construction supports an operating pressure of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. This unit includes suction and discharge pressure tappings as standard to assist with system monitoring.
Powered by a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis shaft grounding and a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
