This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is provided by a ceramic seat and EPT rubber assembly. This configuration supports system pressures up to 125 PSI and utilizes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The 10 HP premium efficiency motor utilizes an ODP enclosure and operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, receiving 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
