This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components facilitates operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The casing incorporates integrally cast mounting feet and provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
This pump utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
