This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with an internally balanced bronze impeller. The construction utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve further protects the shaft surface, while an EPT and ceramic mechanical seal assembly ensures pressure containment up to 125 PSI. This configuration allows for servicing the mechanical seal and bearing housing without disturbing existing system piping.
The unit utilizes a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC 1750 RPM motor with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
