This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly, while the mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat with EPT rubber. Engineered for systems operating at pressures up to 125 PSI, the volute casing includes suction and discharge gauge ports to facilitate system monitoring. The hydraulic assembly is balanced to manage internal forces during operation.
The motor operates at 7.5 HP and utilizes a premium efficiency design with an ODP enclosure, running at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
