This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing rated for 125 PSI that incorporates a replaceable wear ring. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a bronze shaft sleeve to maintain a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat and EPT rubber components facilitates fluid management. The pump casing integrates suction and discharge pressure tappings for system monitoring.
Powered by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, the system integrates Aegis grounding and operates on 380-460V 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
