This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, protected by a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal maintain system integrity under operating pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump utilizes a center-line discharge configuration for positive air venting, while gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring. The construction ensures that internal components remain accessible for field maintenance without requiring the disturbance of system piping.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
