This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transport. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the internal stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the unit integrates a mechanical seal constructed of ceramic and EPT rubber. The pump operates at a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring and provides center-line discharge for air venting.
Powered by a 15 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the system utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
