This end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The design incorporates a dry shaft architecture to prevent the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Fluid containment is managed by a mechanical seal utilizing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This pump is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The motor provides 3 HP with premium efficiency, an ODP enclosure, an operating speed of 1750 RPM, and Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
