This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The construction incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure regulation, the pump assembly operates at a 125 PSI limit and includes an internal wear ring. The mechanical seal utilizes an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat half. Gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring, while the casing construction permits service without disturbing existing system piping.
Powered by a 10 HP premium efficiency motor with a TEFC enclosure, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding, drawing 200-230V, 3PH power, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
