This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft architecture to prevent fluid contact, utilizing a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is managed by a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, supporting operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. Integral mounting feet are cast into the volute, which provides centerline discharge for positive air venting.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 200-230V / 3PH electrical supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
