This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic and EPT components provides the primary seal for the rotating assembly. This dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, supporting an operating pressure of 125 PSI. Permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings support the rotating shaft within the cast iron housing.
The pump assembly utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
