This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller to achieve fluid movement. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft construction, which protects the stainless steel shaft from contact with circulating fluids through the use of a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber provides containment at the shaft interface. Engineered with a center-line discharge for efficient air venting, this pump configuration integrates pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
Powered by a 40 HP Premium Efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding with a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass with a main fused disconnect and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
