This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that eliminates contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve assists in maintenance, while the mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components. This assembly manages system pressures up to 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring.
The assembly utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM, complete with Aegis grounding and a 208V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, a main disconnect, and drive fusing with a 5kA SCCR, and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
