This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The dry shaft construction prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while the casing design supports 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, and the unit incorporates a center-line discharge to assist with air venting.
The motor operates at 3 HP, Premium Efficiency, ODP enclosure, 1750 RPM, with Aegis Grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.48. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
