This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrated bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The dry shaft design prevents contact between circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal constructed of ceramic and EPT, capable of operation at 250 °F. With a 125 PSI pressure rating, the unit integrates a center-line discharge for positive air venting and provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
