This centrifugal end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing for positive air venting and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the assembly prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The unit integrates a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal to ensure fluid containment. Pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, while the casing structure supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
The assembly utilizes a 1.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and runs on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
