This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. A ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components form the mechanical seal to manage internal pressure up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Flush seal line taps allow the installation of external filters to protect the seal, while integrated pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections permit system monitoring.
Powered by a 20 HP Premium Efficiency ODP motor, the pump operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis Grounding for protection, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
