This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of ceramic and EPT materials rated for operation up to 250 °F. This assembly operates at 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. The design provides center-line discharge for air venting and includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The assembly utilizes a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, supplied by 380-460V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
