This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and cover with a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft. It integrates a stainless steel NSF61 impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance in the field. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are included on both the suction and discharge connections to monitor system performance.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
