This end suction centrifugal pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller to facilitate hydraulic performance. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This unit operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides fluid containment within the housing. The design allows for servicing the internal components without disturbing the system piping connections.
Powered by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, the assembly connects to a 380-460V / 3PH power supply and holds a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
