This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze wear ring. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design with a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum temperature of 250 °F. The pump is configured with flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without removing system piping, and the top center line discharge simplifies piping layouts.
This pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP Baldor motor. The motor is a TEFC enclosure, 256 JM frame style with feet, and includes a drip cover and AEGIS shaft grounding. The power requirement is 230-460/60/3 with across the line starting. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. The pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.87.
