This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and includes integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding, and receives power via 380-460V / 3PH input, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
