This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a 4" suction and 3" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump construction includes a cast iron casing, a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It uses a mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. Additional physical features include flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge simplifies piping layouts and reduces piping strain.
This pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure. It is configured for 230-460V/60/3PH power supply with an across the line starting option. The motor is built on a 184 JM frame with feet and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards, including MG1-12.55 with AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump has a 40°C ambient temperature rating and a DOE PEI value of 0.89.
